A bit about us

. .and how we can help shape your company’s future

Who We Are

Rematt is one of the most impressive mattress recycling companies anywhere in Europe which is driven by our Managing Director called Ian Jillings

Ian has been recycling mattresses, textiles and polymers since 2005 and it’s his aim, vision and ambition to develop a business that could very well see the end to mattresses going to landfill and or incineration in the UK

To be by far, the most innovative and technically efficient developer of end use markets for the materials we recover from our mattress and bed base unit recycling process

Punching Above Our Weight

We are not the biggest (yet) but we certainly offer the type of superb service that you’d associate with a much larger high-end brand or multi-national company. We offer a standard of cleanliness and efficiency that most other recyclers of any kind, aspire to emulate

Our Mission

To be the UK’s finest and most environmentally efficient recycler of waste mattresses and bed base units but more importantly, divert more than two million+ waste mattresses per year from landfill and or unnecessary incineration by the end of 2024

Well Positioned

Our head office site, which currently deals with wet mattresses and deconstructed pocket springs, is conveniently located just 7 miles north of Greater Manchester. Our mattress and bed base unit recycling site is ideally located in Darwen offering our customers a complete in house one stop facility all in one place

After opening our 3rd state of the art mattress recycling facility site in Darwen, this gave us a combined capacity to process more than 4,000+ mattresses and bed base units per week on a single shift basis.

With a “Gate Fee” price point that is ideally positioned to make mattress recycling a truly affordable option over landfill or incineration, then this enables us to recover far more valuable materials and massively reduce CO2 emissions, than would otherwise be achieved

“a recycling company that’s way ahead of its time”
